King Billy was built in 1992 and is made of King Billy Pine.  The designer was John King and she was built by Sailors Bay Boatshed situated in Northbridge, now known as Northside Shipwrights. King Billy has competed in four Hobarts, 4 Lord Howe Island races, 10 Coffs races and has won the Gascoigne Cup twice.
