About the Race

The PONANT Noumea yacht Race will return in 2024.

Following a sojourn of over 20 years, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia had re-introduced the 1,064 nautical mile PONANT Sydney Noumea Yacht Race in 2018.

In a successful return of the race, Seb Bohm's Rogers 46 Smuggler won overall honours, while Michael Martin's TP52 Frantic won Line Honours.

After the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 and 2022 editions, the PONANT Sydney Noumea will return on Saturday 1 June 2024.

The race is organised and conducted by the CYCA, with the co-operation of the Cercle Nautique Caeldonien.
