Ponant Sydney Noumea Yacht Race Confirmed to Start in May

The Ponant Sydney Noumea Yacht Race is set to make its highly anticipated return this May.

The event, which was postponed last year due to civil unrest in New Caledonia and the previous edition impacted by COVID-19, will finally see sailors compete in the 1,064 nautical mile race to Noumea.

This year’s edition is also the perfect lead-up to the New Caledonia Groupama Race, which will be held shortly after, making it an ideal feeder race for those aiming to take on the challenge of the race around New Caledonia.

With many seasoned sailors eager to hook into beautiful trade winds that will take them across South Pacific waters, the race will offer spectacular sailing all around.
